A collection of personal and professional papers which includes correspondence, travel diaries, reports, draft textbooks, clippings, notes and other material relating to Riske's career as an educationalist and social commentator. Included also is some material relating to his early involvement (and split with) the New Zealand Communist Party in the 1930s.
Arrangement: Collection was received in a very disordered state. Although some order has been imposed many folders contain material that overlaps in subject, date and form.
