Brother of James Dent Greenwood (1817-1850). Arrived in New Zealand per 'Lady Nugent' in 1841. Drowned while making a journey in a whaleboat to Motunau.

The letter book half includes copies of letters written to business associates including Sir W H Richardson, Rev Henry Schnackenberg, Col W Wakefield, Loxley, Varnham, J H Greenwood, Hooper and Co and others, and lists of goods shipped and other notes.
