Description: Group photograph of the 1924 All Blacks. Note: Players Hart and Irvine, at right of back row, were spliced in to the photograph. (Library client tells that her family has a very similar photograph with information written on the back by Martin Shore - who worked in advertising for WD & HO Wills. Information reads: "...I handled the matter of photographing the team prior to its departure from Wellington. Hart and Irvine had not arrived, so Doyles Cox and I stood in for them. They were photographed in the same marked positions the next day and spliced into the main group negative. The team were staying at the Grand Hotel. Photography by Mr S P Andrew who gave me this very 'unoffical' print. MWES" The 1924 All Blacks won all thirty matches during their tour of Great Britain and France and became known as "The Invincibles". Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s).
