Description: Contains printed and faxed correspondence regarding a review of 'Faber Book of Contemporary South Pacific Stories' published in 'New Zealand Books' by Roger Robinson, for which C K Stead demanded a public apology. Correspondents are Stead, Keegan Alexander Tedcastle & Friedlander (Stead's soliciters), Colin James (editor of 'New Zealand Books'), and Lynne Dovey (chair of The Peppercorn Trust). Also includes New Zealand Books clipping of the published apology. Folder also includes correspondence from the early 1970s with Professor Musgrove. Title supplied by Library. Arrangement: Papers in the this folder were originally bound with a binder clip. A note at the front of the papers reads, "All this work was done for me at no cost by Campbell Smith (& Mark Vickerman). I did, however, compose most of the letters. An apology was printed in the March issue of NZ books, which didn't appear until May - and a note to subscribers had to be sent out explaining the delay, ie the review cost them a lot of time & trouble."
