Description: Contains a draft, confidential typescript, written circa 1980-1989. The typescript describes Gordon Webster's memoirs of the banking industry in the 1980s, the changes that took place in the New Zealand banking system during this time period, and the turbulence in the industry that lead to the Bank of New Zealand requiring government intervention to prevent collapse and closure. The typescript consists of 39 pages, which are divided roughly into two parts, entitled: - "DISASTER AT THE BANK", which covers pages 1 to 25. - "Addendum", covering page 26 to 39, which mentions both the Bank of New Zealand and NZI Corporation Limited. The typescript also contains handwritten annotations and corrections in blue and black ballpoint pen across various pages. Title supplied by Library. Quantity: 1 folder(s).
