Also a 'Guiness's Brewery' guide book (1914); a programme for 'The Bugle call of the Fraser Clan, Rangitikei, N.Z. from Christmas Day 1916 in Palmerston North; a booklet 'Monte Carlo: The Race to the Roulette'; and a flyer relating to a replica German medal which commemorated the sinking of the Lusitania, issued by the Lusitania Souvenir Medal Committee of London, stamped by Robinson & Cleaver Ltd Belfast. Description: Diary of R K Coxe, a young man travelling with a companion 'Geoff' to New Zealand on board the Lusitania, departing 5 Dec 1890, arriving in Auckland 28 Jan, and leaving on 4 Apr 1891. Gives detailed and lively descriptions of the voyage, fellow passngers, including Robert Louis Stevenson's stepson Lloyd Osbourne, ports visited and of New Zealand. Gives acerbic impressions of Auckland, Rotorua, Taupo, Wellington, Lyttelton, Christchurch and Dunedin, and of New Zealanders, both Pakeha and Maori. Includes photographs taken and labelled by him. Source of title - Supplied by Library In Dec 1890 Coxe left the United Kingdom on the vessel Lusitania for New Zealand. He toured the North Island and visited relatives in the South Island, before travelling to Australia on 18 Mar. After a stopover in Melbourne, he left Adelaide for the United Kingdom on 4 Apr. The site also quotes the following, presumably also from the Illustrated Australian news: "the ship is built by Messrs.
