Also includes music scores and related material by Joseph John Taylor, from the period 1994 to 2013. Publication - "Mine alone" by R D Mercer is a publication based on these papers. Source of title - Supplied by Library Joseph Taylor immigrated to New Zealand in 1894 from Staffordshire, England, where he had worked as a preacher and a mining engineer. He started work as the Collingwood layreader, before establishing the Puponga Coal Mine. He was later charged with "having altered an account in a certain book with intent to defraud while he was manager of the company" and sentenced to two years' hard labour.
