The original newspaper caption reads: 'Members of Project Waitangi today braved a blustery southerly at Moa Point to march for Waitangi Day. National Co-ordinator Maryanne L'Estrange said the march was not a protest, but was an educational day. "It is time to think about what we should do as Pakeha people", she said. About 50 people walked between Moa Point and Te rangi-tatau Pa on the southern coastline, some carrying placards....' The poster imples that one shopuld not "party" to celebrate the sesqui-centennial of the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. Details various incidents in Grey's career: rebellion to justify invasion of Maori territory in 1863; confiscation of Maori land in Waikato, Taranaki and Bay of Plenty; and Grey's statement about Maori pride and barbarousness.
