The tree appears to speak to the pair through a grotesque mask at its apex, and its lower branch proffer a treasure box. Describes their establishment of the Caxton Club Press (later called The Caxton Press) with Glover managing the printing and Drew seeking the business, and financing the Press via Drew's aunts. Describes Mary Glover (Glover's first wife) and her relationship with Glover. Talks about his own father, arriving in New Zealand in 1882. Describes turning down a large inheritance and opportunity in Kenya in order to continue with Glover and the Caxton Press. Talks about getting a loan from a family contact for upgrading equipment; Leo Bensemann's involvement during World War II; factors leading to Dennis Donovan asking Glover to leave Caxton Press. Talks about Glover moving on to Pegasus Press and the Technical Correspondence Institute and being asked to leave both for the same reason. Drew describes his feelings about being paid out of the Caxton Press and the resultant change in his friendship with Glover.
