Architect. Born Wellington. Son of John and Louisa Swan. Completed an International Correspondence School course in Architecture while in Australia, registering as an architect on his return to New Zealand. A younger brother of architect John Sydney Swan, he joined his brother's firm as a partner, under the name of Swan, Lawrence & Swan. He married Adie Nina Passan in 1914. They had two children.
