Set includes 'Totorore' moored in fiord, the entrance to Reloncavi Sound, Southern Andes seen from water, Yate Volcano, various yachts on the water, diving equipment (helmet and hand pump), Sotomo locals in a boat trading for "Chorros" with the 'Totorore', Lillie and Pancho [children of Julie von Meyer] on board the 'Totorore', fishermen at Angelmo (and their boats including 'A364 Muchachita' and catch), two images of expedition leader Gerry Clark (one in a dinghy at Pumalin, another on the deck of the 'Totorore' entering a fiord), and an unidentified church. Also contains four photographs of birds: steamer ducks in flight, flamingos, Magellanic penguins, and oystercatchers. Set includes images of birds including oystercatchers ( "black ater", "brown and white American palliatus", "Feugian leucopodus black and white"), turkey vultures "Gallinazo", black vultures (Valdivia), a Peruvian pelican (Valparaiso), pelicans and piqueros [boobies?] in flight, and kelp geese. Local scenes show Santiago (including high rises, view from [Santa Lucia?] hill, and a street market), unidentified ruins of a [fortification?], a gun emplacement, a street scene in Valparaiso, Nuhuel Island, Andes seen from the sea, the wreck of the 'Lord Londsdale' (Punta Arenas), Valdivia corral, and Calbuco Island settlement. Set includes images on Guafo Island, including a burial cave with coffin, a shipwreck, fossils, and a dead turtle. A variety of birds, including oystercatchers displaying feathers, a widgeon [sic] in flight, upland and ashy-headed geese, rufous back negrito hen and male, and Wilson's storm petrels. Many bird images are from Guafo Island. Also contains an image of a fishing boat at Pumalin and a dead narrow-billed prion "belcherii". Set features images of a colony of sea lions at the north point of Guafo Island. Images of birds include grey phalaropes, kelp geese feeding, chimango caracara, oystercatchers, and unidentified birds on rocks [pied shags?]. Also included are images of moss and other plants in the bush, three nautical maps (two charting routes from Guafo Island to Ypun and one of the Punta Arenas area), a scenic image of mountains and sunset from Quellon, and view of the Guafo Island lighthouse (faro). Includes images of Canadian Pacific Airline plane on tarmac, vaqueros with cattle at Valdivia "like the Whanga[mata] hotel paddock," a canon "300mm 15 tonnes" and a park at Valparaiso, a waterfall at Reloncavi, view of Calbaco Island, a bee on a plant Guafo Island, sunsets, and clouds at Quellon. Birds include penguins, terns, black-necked swans, silvery grebe "p. occipitalis", oystercatchers, kelp gulls at Puerto Montt, hooded gulls, upland geese at Punta Arenas, and winter plover. Set contains images of flamingos (flying and wading) [most likely Hornopiren], an Andean condor in a cage (Punta Arenas), a Magellanic penguin on a nest [most likely Guafo Island] and flock swimming (at Puerto Montt), kelp geese and "b/backed and amer" oystercatchers (at Pumalin), South American terns, Inca terns (at Puerto Montt), black-backed kelp gulls "all phases" (at Angelmo, Puerto Montt), and a large flock of godwits (at Quellon). Also includes images of erosion in a fiord, the view to the northern point of Guafo Island (from on board the 'Totorore'), French sailors Patrick and Pierette Gary in an inflatable dingy, fog at Reloncavi, street with restaurant and maritime transport centre (at Quellon), and view of San Vincente port.
