The back cover shows a Union Jack, with inspirational text. Inside are facts about the ship, figures to remember, and an invitation to join the Navy League in order to preserve the British Empire which stands for freedom, justice and righteousness. Description: The papers consist of: Application form submitted by Graeme Dawson accompanied by a comprehensive assortment of supporting land documents; printed material relating to the farm and farm ownership; photographs; maps; family tree. The material has been submitted in a binder which has an index at the front. Original owner was James Gibbs (1809-1892) who arrived in Nelson in 1842 and received a Crown Grant of 500 acres at Wakefield in 1852 having settled on the land in 1847. Lone Oak Farm is owned by his great-grandson Colin Franklin Gibbs in 2007. In 2007 the property was awarded the New Zealand Century Farm and Station award to mark over 100 years of continuous ownership by one family. Quantity: 1 folder(s). 90 pages. Description: One four-penny coin, and three 1 1/2 penny coins, all minted in 1843. All show a profile head of Queen Victoria on the obverse. The reverse of the four-penny coin shows Britannia. The reverse of the 1 1/2 penny coin shows a wreath of oak leaves. Three of the 1 1/2 penny coins have had a hole drilled through them, perhaps to string on to a necklace or bracelet. Description: Shows the oak tree in Silton, Devonshire, known as Judge Wyndham's oak because the 17th century judge used to hold his court under it. The oak tree has a thick, gnarled trunk and hardly any leaves. Inscriptions: Verso - The old Judge's oak which the family were so fond of Albin Martin was born in Silton and lived there as a farmer, 1844 to 1851 before coming to New Zealand.
