Recalls training as a nurse at Waikato Hospital but had to give it up because of back problem. Gives details of work in bank and discrimination against women in banks at that time. Discusses involvement with: Ambulance Service - was Divisional Manager of St Johns; Swimming Association, was President for 4 years and netball - obtained New Zealand Umpire's Badge in 1985. Talks about mining and feels it is very beneficial to the town.
