Description: Front shows a group of young people in a street. It is the image used formerly on the poster "Come out!!" / Gay Liberation Front (New York), at Eph-C-OCONNELL-Gay-1970-01. The back discusses the issues relating to the Police Offences Amendment Bill, the Guardianship Amendment Bill, and the Child Welfare Amendment Bill, all of which had been proposed by MP Daniel Riddiford, and seemed to restrict the freedoms of young people. Description: Drawings and caricatures of sports related figures who flourished during the 1940s and 1950s. Includes All Blacks Charlie Oliver, L. Savage, "Has" Catly, and goal-kicker Morrie Doyle, and in other sports boxer Cyril Hurne, American wrestler Dick Raines, and an unnamed female tennis player. Other portraits are of Alex Pratt (manager of Hutt Speedways Ltd), George Welch (secretary of the Wellington Indoor Bowling Association), Mic Zamba (president of the Wellington Softball Association) and boxing trainer Archie Lechie. A number of plain diagrams illustrate boxing and wrestling technique. The original collage of caricatures of McNamara's Southern Cross Collegues used in their 1949 Christmas card and another of two men playing rugby are included. Description: This cartoon relates to the Watergate Affair and charges of conspiracy against President Nixon. It features a domestic living room. A youth is holding a newspaper which has a headline about the scandal and is complaining to his father who is sitting on a sofa reading another part of the paper, that his mother is so ignorant of what is happening in politics that she thinks Watergate is related to a completely different issue, the raising of the level of Lake Manapouri for a hydro-electric dam.
