Description: Shows two houses within their fenced sections, against a bush background. The house in the centre is a two-storeyed house with a verandah on two sides. Its garden path has two curved archways, and there is a small thatched garden hut in front of the house. There are two raised sloping structures, one near each arch. The house at the left has a single storey, with a verandah along the front. The bush-covered land rises to hills in the background. Previously attributed to William Anson McCleverty, and thought to show houses in the Hutt Valley. May show houses in Ross rather than Greymouth. Cooper lived in Ross for some years, although he also lived in Greymouth. Other Titles - Ross Inscriptions: Recto - bottom right - WMC 1872 Quantity: 1 watercolour(s).
