Description: Photograph of design drawing in the shape of a beacon, possibly intended as bomb or bullet-shaped. The top conical portion was to be of stainless steel and would reflect light. Just below this top was a thin layer of 52 windows shining light from within. Comment at lower right "Suprema a situ / Lone Pine e[ast] of Cenotaph". A note below indicates that the height was to be "three score and ten" feet. The monument was to be "built of materials freely given by the people personally and by their own personal labour". The plan was to be circular with an entrance on the south side, with steps leading up and down. A light lift could be incorporated. There would be an entrance charge of a shipping for adults and 6d or 3d for children, for the upkeep of the monument.
