Annual aquatic festival held at Ngaruawahia on the banks of the Waikato River since 1896. Originally known as the Ngaruawahia Regatta and renamed Turangawaewae Regatta when it was taken over by Turangawaewae Marae in the 1970s and moved 500m up river from The Point.
