Kuaka (Aircraft. ZK-AFD)

Lockheed 10A Electra registered to Union Airways in 1937. Transferred to New Zealand National Airways Corporation (NAC) on formation of the company in 1947. Withdrawn from service in 1951. The stripped airframe was acquired for the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) in 1966, and is displayed there as a cutaway fuselage (another Lockheed 10A Electra, ZK-BUT, is at MOTAT, painted as ZK-AFD).
