Owner of a ski shop in National Park who alongside Jim Johns established the National Downhill ski field on Mount Ruapehu in 1960. Died in a plane crash with his family in the Southern Alps in 1983.

An original envelope containing negatives of Ruapehu from this same period was stored in another part of Cleveland's collection. See PAColl-10645-25 in Series-6441.
