Organisation operating in the late 1980s and up to around 2001, when it became part of the New Zealand Institute of Agricultural & Horticultural Science which was reportedly founded in 1952. Its purpose was "to promote the professional interests of members, the views of professional agriculturalists and horticulturalists, the development of science, the use of agricultural and horticultural technology".
