Tapuhi (Tugboat)

Naval tug of 232 grt, in Wellington Harbour. Built in 1945. Bought in 1947 by Union Steam Ship Company, who in 1948 changed its name from 'Empire Shirley'. Sold in 1973. Scuttled in 1990. Played a big part when the inter-island ferry 'Wahine' sank in 1968.
