Description: The Gno gno hau or short-sighted beach-goer. Essentially a wading bird owing to not having learned to swim. Found in coastal areas and often in difficulties, crying `Help, help'. The Whatianau or one-legged punter. Lives on tips and stable gleanings. Has double visions, but as its name implies, seldom succeeds in picking both legs whereupon it shrieks `Shoulda picked it! Shoulda picked it!'. The Pikpaua or current consumer can be heard at certain times of the year, on very dark nights, crying `More power! More power!'. The Kaakopa or highway hawk found in most oarts of the country. Thrives on guinea-pig highways, all the time calling `Slow down, slow down'.
