Players move around a board and are given scenarios in which they must make decisions and experience the consequences. There are 79 question and answer cards, 40 Market cards, 40 Environment cards, 40 Community cards and 15 Decision cards. Box lid shows livestock grazing around farm buildings in rolling countryside with Mount Taranaki in the distance. Statement on box indicates support for the game's production from The New Zealand Way Ltd and Landcare Research New Zealand Ltd. Quantity: 1 boxed board game. Description: Boxed board game for which the instructions are printed inside the box lid. Players move counters along a track up to the summit of Everest, through Base Camp and 8 further camps, taking up 196 squares on the board. Player can be forced to turn back or wait, through such mishaps as illness, crevasses, crumbling ice, heavy snow, lack of supplies, gale force winds, broken rope and exhaustion. The game was published the year after the successful mountain climb of Everest, during which Sir Edmund Hillary and Tensing Norgay reached the summit. Quantity: 1 board game. Physical Description: Game board, 450 x 298 mm, folded to 225 x 298 mm; die and six coloured plastic counters, all in box 320 x 235 x 30 mm. Description: Game board shows a map of the Hokianga Harbour area, with a trail of spaces along which the players move. There is a small amount of information given for each geographical location, and historical notes at lower left. Statement at lower edge that the game was designed and produced by S Clarkson, and associates Morley and Brown of Kohukohu, with calligrahy by Dave Wood of Auckland. An attached paper slip states that the game received a tourism design award in 1984 from the Minister of Tourism, Mike Moore. Quantity: 1 colour photo-mechanical print(s) on game board.. Description: A board game of 50 squares along which one moved a counter. The smiling figure of Mr Safety Watt is at the right, his body composed of a lightbulb topped by a plug, the latter's three prongs making up his eyes and nose. The rate of one's moves around the board depended upon safe or unsafe electrical practices. The other side shows four dangerous scenarios including mending one's own electrical cords, using broken plugs, going near overhead wires, and touching fallen wires. Description: Board game in which one tries to amass the greatest value of prizes by correctly answering various general knowledge questions. The first person to press the buzzer in response to the question, has the first chance to answer it. The 128-page instruction book contains all the questions. The box lid shows a photograph of Steve Parr, the quizmaster of the New Zealand version of the show, 1989-1995. Game is based on the New Zealand version of an Australian television quiz show, aired 14 July 1980 to 29 November 2001. The New Zealand version featuring Steve Parr as the quizmaster, screened 1989-1995. Quantity: 1 boxed board game.
