Description: A collection of tributes left at or given to the Kilbirnie Mosque by members of the public after the attacks on two Christchurch mosques on 15 March 2019. Many of the tributes were attached to the fence around the building or left on the pavement outside the fence. Some were also created during the Mosque open day on 27 April 2019. The date range of the collection has been assumed to be March - April because people began to lay tributes from 16 March and tributes were accepted by the Mosque on the open day on 27 April 2019. Non-Latin script and some languages have been identified by a qualified translator from the Translation Service Te Pūtahi Whakawhiti Reo of the Department of Internal Affairs.
