Description: Contains images relating to Brian Salkeld's work as a broadcaster, his collecting and other activities. Consists of several sets of photographs taken by unidentified photographers at different times between 1950 and 1995. Several images show Salkeld working at the radio station 1XN Whangarei in 1950. Three groups of images relate to music recording sessions. The first group shows the recording of the opera `Monsieur Beaucaire' at St Paul's Hall, Wellington, 1960, with Oswald Cheesman conducting. The second shows an unidentified recording session in the Wellington Town Hall, 1965; the third, an unidentified studio session, ca 1970s. Other images show Salkeld's home, his record collection, antique gramophones and flower arrangements. Another group of images relate to Salkeld's collection of records and equipment housed at the National Library of New Zealand. There are also general photographs of the Music Room and table exhibits.
