Description: Design consists of two panels. In the left panel, three disciples kneel. They watch Christ flanked by two disciples in the right panel. The Christ figure glows white. Under the left panel are the words "Lord! It is good for us to be here". Notes on verso: "This design is inspired by the traditional Transfiguration icons in Russian & Greek Orthodox art. Scale prevents the full development of details which will be in the final glass painting". Description: Shows Jesus Christ standing in a mandorla shape with the symbols of the four evangelists around him. The elements of air, fire, earth, and water are depicted in abstract form around the mandorla. There is a double symbolism of the wind and flames of Pentecost, the living water and the tree of life for the healing of the nations. At the apex is a triquetra, a symbol for the Trinity. Centenary dates of the church, an a view of the church as it appeared in 1886, are shown at the bottom. Author's list gives date as 1984. Church centenary was 1986. Some show 4 ft flat from Richard III, to be adapted for this production. Plan-90-1433 is signed by J. A. Beard along one side, possibly later. "The Cocktail party" was performed from 31 July to 8 August 1970 (see programme in Ephemera B UNITY 1970). Description: Four sheets, two of them labelled Tav. III and Tav. V, are bird's-eye view of a city. One sheet shows the initial word of the title "Descrittione...", and another shows a coat of arms, probably that of Syracuse. One of the sheets has the label: "Franciscus Lomia incid. 1612, Syracusis". The fifth sheet shows parallel sections of a frieze depicting coins and medals, with portraits, Greek engravings, and Classical motifs, including Dionysis, Ieronymus, Eurakoseion Gelonos, Ieronos. Gelon (fl 485 BC), Hieron I (fl 478-467 BC), and Dionysius I (fl 405-367 BC) were all early rulers of Syracuse. According to entry on NZBN, North is at lower right of plan.
