Correspondence includes letters from the University of Alberta inviting Stead to speak as part of their Distinguished Visitors programme. Includes correspondence from Charlotte Grimshaw. Also included in correspondence are several postcards, one photograph, and one letter written in German. Other documents include: - a printout of a 2015 article by Matt Stewart titled '81 Springbok protests galvanises a nation divided' - journal entries by Stead dated 14-21 September 1981, writing about the Springbok tour protests - a booklet of poems by Patrick Lane titled 'There are still the mountains' - pages from a 1981 newsletter from the League of Canadian Poets - photocopy of an article titled 'Critic who declines to hedge his bets' by A K Grant, which reviewed Stead's book 'In the Glass Case: Essays on New Zealand Literature'.
