Description: Includes a songsheet from 1991 and a programme from 1993. Songsheet for 1991 contains 48 songs, covering two sides of a sheet of paper. The 1993 programme is a folded sheet showing a map of the Gathering site, with the Whakapapa River named at lower left. The programme lists events for the weeklong Gathering. Workshops included permaculture, tree planting, alternative power, women's issues, men's concerns, spiritual and religious groups, Maori and indigenous people, Pakehatanga, Gay people, addiction and recovery, mediation and conflict resolution, prisons and justice, alternatives to violence, healing skills. Each day included sessions of meditation, yoga, tai chi, dances of universal peace, Rainbow groups, Grace Circle. Description: Photographs taken by Charles Tenison Salmon about 1906 to 1909. Images include views of the Ohakune/Horopito Road, a Christmas camp in the bush at Ohakune, the volcanic eruption of Mount Ngauruhoe in April 1909, and views taken when traversing the Tongariro National Park. Some photographs show Charles and Marie Salmon in the bush, and one shows three climbers, Charles T. Salmon, Edward Phillips Turner and Hugh Girdlestone. Views on the Ohakune-Horopito Road show a team of horses pulling an empty dray, and one of a group of people waiting while their carriage crosses a ford on the Mangatoetoenui River.
