Includes caption: 'A novelty at the great english regatta at Henley: A Maori war canoe on the Thames. Perhaps the most popular event at this year's Henley regatta was the appearance of a Maori war canoe on the Thames. The canoe was a replica of the famous Arawa cannoe, in which the ancestors of the Arawa tribe, of Rotorua, made the journey from Hawaiiki to New Zealand. The crew consisted of 10 men and 10 women forom Maggie Papakura's troupe. Quantity: 1 page.
