Description: Map of the town of Waimeha, now part of Waikanae Beach, is bordered by the sea, Waimeha Road and Rauparaha Street. Sections are numbered. Includes Te Moana Road and Tutere, Ngapaki and Huiawa Streets, the latter being adjacent to the Waimeha Stream. Recreational reserves, raupo and flax swamps are marked. A note states that one section has been purchased by the local body for a future road. Handwritten notes adjacent to the map describe the terrrian and vegetation, a total of acreages of recreation, esplanade and road reserves, roads and allotments, also details of building line restrictions A stamp on bottom left is a receipt of when the plan was submitted to the Local Authority A pencilled note on the numbered recreational reserve includes the acreage Quantity: 1 map(s). Dyett as surveyor, F.S. Little the Deputy Chief Surveyor, J.D. Clammerton [?] for Surveyor General and the Minister of Lands. Some signatures are indecipherable

Description: Cadastral map of Ngarara West 'A' with survey markings, bounded by the Waikanae River and the Wellington-Manawatu Railway, the coastline and northwards to include Kukutauaki land block no. 1. Shows numbered sections on Ngarara Road and Te Moana Road, with acreage and owner's name where known. Also shows Native (Maori) land, sanctuary for native and imported game; Waikanae Park and cemetery, whare cultivation, Rau o te rangi. Several streets on the beach front are named. Gives topographical information, areas of bush, manuka and flax swamps. Land owners include: William Hughes Field, William Geoffrey Hughes Field, Isabel Jane Field, Isabel Hughes Field, John Hughes Field. Also shows Wi Parata's stable, and sheds and stables of Hira Parata. Includes brief notes on land leased to the Field's, and on the quality of the land. Note on map reads: Topographical details as shown on early survey records. Bush has since been reduced in area and some low level land drained. Written on map: WD 1491 Some annotated notes on map regarding names of new land owners such as 'sold to J ?Goidley', 'sold to Bidwell-Waton', 'Mapuna's flat', 'Chalmers'. Description: A copy of a topographical map of the area from Cook Strait, the Waikanae River and the Wellington - Manawatu Railway. Some topographic features are written rather than drawn. Roads are marked and the right of road along the river bank. Includes a small cadastral area which is the settlement of Waikanae Beach, with named streets. Numbered sections with acreages include names, the majority of which are William Hughes Field and Isabel Jane Field. Other names are Wi Parata, William Geoffrey Hughes Field, John Hughes Field. Native land is marked and a section is named Whare cultivation, also a sanctuary for native and imported game. A cemetery, sites of houses and stables are marked.
