Queens Gardens

Created in 1860 and named in honour of Queen Victoria. Contains many specimens of named rare trees and ferns, flower beds, and a small lake surrounded by trees. (Information from Wises New Zealand Guide; A gazetteer of New Zealand", 1986, page 268).
