The church is surrounded by a small graveyard of headstones, and there is a wooden arched entrance gate in the foreground. Inscriptions: Recto - beneath image - [Title and artist's name]; Backing board recto - centre - Presented by Revd Canon Hugh Dibbens to His Excellency the High Commissioner for New Zealand the Right Honourable Jonathan Hunt, ONZ on 17 April 2005 to mark his visit to St Andrew's Church, Hornchurch, Essex. Quantity: 1 watercolour(s). Physical Description: Watercolour, 407 x 305 mm, on sheet 458 x 358 mm, with perforations at the top. Provenance: Donated by the Rt Honorable Jonathan Hunt, New Zealand High Commissioner to Britain, 2005-2008. The painting was presented to Jonathan Hunt by the Reverend Canon Hugh Dibbens to mark his visit to the church on 17 April 2005. Transfers: The church graveyard contains the interred remains of four Niuean Maori Battalion soldiers based at Grey Towers during World War I, including His Highness Private Prince Moki Rangatira of Niue, Private Vasau, Private Talera and Private Filitoua. - - - The donation also included two photographs (framed together) of Te Whare Puni, the meeting house at Grey Towers Camp, Hornchurch, Essex. This house was frequented by New Zealand servicemen during the First World War. The photographs were transferred to the Photographic Archive PA9-090..
