Description: Photographic records of a journey by Lord Ranfurly in Australia in 1898 taken by an unknown photographer. The top photograph (PA1-f-195-57-1) shows the passenger boats on the Murray River near Mildura. The centre photograph (PA1-f-195-57-2) shows a bush inn. The lower photograph, (PA1-f-195-57-3) shows Lord Ranfurly, Dudley Alexander and a Mr Pickering with a carriage, during the 160 mile drive from Mildura to Swan Hill. Also includes portraits of Hennessy in uniform, family photographs, and hand-embroidered silk postcards from Belgium written to his mother, Mary Eleanor Hennessy (nee Boyle) in Gisborne during World War I from 1917-1919, and later postcards from the 1930s and 1940s. Description: Comprises correspondence, mainly in the form of letters from listeners, cards and other acknowledgements on her retirement, newspaper cuttings, some dating from 1947, when she was on radio in Mildura, Victoria, and photographs relating to her career in broadcasting. Source of title - Supplied Doreen Kelso (nee Sarah) was a broadcaster and newspaper columnist in Mildura for Radio Sunraysia 3MA, before visiting New Zealand and joining Radio 2ZB in 1948.
