Description: Views of the Otago Region taken by unidentified photographers, circa 1870s to 1895. Many show buildings in Dunedin, including one house `Lisburn House' built for the Fulton family in 1865; also commercial buildings, church buildings, school buildings (Otago Boys' High School), and Dunedin Gaol. The church buildings include the Chapel in Leith Street, the Chapel in Great King Street, and the Baptist Chapel. Beyond Dunedin there are views of Naseby, Butchers Gully, Port Chalmers, Cromwell, Kyeburn, Shag Valley, and Lake Hayes, Lake Wanaka and Lake Hawea. Quantity: 1 album(s) Album(s). Many slides are not dated. Arrangement: Transparencies were arranged in a 6-row, 50 slides per row, plastic case labelled 'Woolsheds'. Arrangement was generally alphabetical by location or farm/station name. Quantity: 24 colour original transparency/ies. Physical Description: Colour transparencies in plastic and cardboard slide mounts. Processing information: Slides have been removed from container and put into archival pockets, following the original order, from left to right and top to bottom.

Arrangement: Each negative and accompanying print were together in glassine bags, and transparencies were individually stored in glassine bags, arranged in largely alphabetical order by name of farm or station in a wooden drawer, in a sequence labelled "Accommodation". Bags were labelled with the farm or station name and type of building on the left-hand side of the bag and the location on the right-hand side. Some bags held negatives without corresponding prints.
