Description: Survey map of the property of W.F. Porter from the west head of Otakeiwi, around the north head of Oripiu, bordering Mr A Cromwell's land and around the Rakeuau Creek. Block is named 'Claim 863, Grant to Mr W.F. Porter [property size] 363 acres 2r. R15 fol. 165.' Written on map is 'I hereby certify that I surveyed this land in December 1864 that the lines are properly cut and that there was no objection made by the Natives to the survey'. Signed Scott, Auckland, Aug 12th, 69[?], Surveyor. Various notes have been added to the map after 1864. Signed by D.S. Scott, Surveyor. Signed by Land Claims Commissioner as true copy. The second (Accn 1829) shows blocks X, XI, XIII of Rangitoto and Otahuhu survey districts, specifically the Tamaki River, Karaka Bay, Motukorea or Brown's Island, the base of Motutapu Island, and the Motuihi Island domain in the Waitemata Harbour.
