The Library's 1967 exhibition catalogue 'Early New Zealand paintings' notes that 'Where no other source is given, the works were acquired by the late Mr Turnbull'. No other source is given for this watercolour.

Description: View of "Stoneycroft" and its front garden, Kuripuni, Masteron "Stoneycroft" was built in Kuripuni, Masterton, in the 1870s by William Lowes, a businessman who also served as Mayor of Masterton.
