Description: Transparencies of stables and farm structures and equipment, taken by Geoffrey or Jocelyn Thornton. Mounts are annotated with the subject, station/farm name, and/or location. Arrangement: Transparencies were arranged in several cases: A five row, 30 slides per row, metal case labelled "Stables" in which the arrangement was generally alphabetical by the the farm/station name or location, from bottom to top of each row and from left to right; A three-row, 25 slides per row, plastic case labelled "Stables Gates Fences", in which the arrangement of the transparencies of stables was alphabetical by the location or the farm/station name, and the arrangement of transparencies of farm structures and equipment followed no apparent order; A small plastic slide case, capable of holding approximately 30- 40 mounted transparencies, labelled "Farm houses". There was no apparent order; A four row, 36 slides per row metal case, labelled "Men's Qtrs/cookshops Barns Stores, Libraries".
