Archaeologist, printer, bookbinder, anarchist, philatelist and creator of fantasy philately. He used the name Bruce Henderson and Martin Renwick (1978-1981). He created stamps for an imaginary country Occussi-Ambeno. Interviewer for a MOTAT oral history project in 2003.

Description: Interview with Geoff (Geoffrey) Rodliffe, born in Newquay, Cornwall, in 1914. Talks about joining the Royal Air Force in 1935 as ground crew. Refers to his early interest in Richard Pearse which came from his technical interest in aviation, and mentions seeing the Richard Pearse display at the Museum of Transport and Technology (MOTAT) in 1963/64 soon after he arrived in New Zealand. Talks about the discovery of the Pearse aircraft, and comments on meeting Pearse's sisters. Mentions a play 'The Pain and the Passion' by Sherry Ede which was showing in Auckland at the time of the interview; it was based on the biographical novel 'Oh for the Wings of a Moth' written by Helen Moore and Geoffrey Rodliffe. Mentions other books he has written about Richard Pearse and research help from Joseph Coll who had seen Pearse's aircraft. Refers to a feature film script and being unable to interest film makers in it. Discusses an unsuccessful re-enactment of the first flight in March 2003 and building the replica aircraft with Malcolm Frazer and others using Richard Pearse's original designs.
