Phillips, Molesworth, 1755-1832

Captain James Cook's companion when he was killed on the beach in Hawaii, escaping to the boat. He married Susanna the daughter of Dr Charles Burney and became acquainted with Johnston, Mrs Thrales, and Charles Lamb. His first wife died in 1800 and the same year he married a cousin Anne Maturin. He died of cholera in his home at Lambeth. Rank - Lieutenant.
