Wilson's Malt Extract Company

Company formed in 1894, and from 1913 concentrated on Malt Extract producing Maltexo (advertised first in 1920). In the 1920s, it was under the management of Charles Andrew Wilson (1867-1951). In 1926, the Company restructured and changed to Dunedin Brewery and Wilson Malt Extract Co Ltd. However in 1934, brewing and malt extract operations were split into separate premises. In 1974, the company was renamed Wilson Distillers Ltd.
