This certificate has stickers for intermediate and senior grade examinations, with marks gained and year passed (1933-1936). The space for a gold seal at top centre has not been filled. Description: Contains schoolboy notes on historical personages but mostly Greenwood recorded day-to-day accounts of his life while a student at St John's College, Tamaki, Auckland. During this period he twice accompanied Bp Selwyn in the `Undine' when he visited various settlements in NZ, in the South Island, visiting Port Nicholson and Canterbury and as far south as Stewart Island, Bluff and Ruapuke. He writes of Selwyn a lot. Some illustrations of these places are included. Pieces of music, `Lightly tread' and `Under the stone' are at the beginning of the volume. Description: The papers comprise 3 `volumes'. Vol 5 describes Miller's journey to Tangoa and work as Principal of the Teachers Training Institution, his LIVE books, photographs, lectures and the relationship with the condominium authorities. Vol 6 includes selected classroom notes on teaching the bible, English, Christian conduct, practical training, church work, teaching method, preaching class and Christian doctrine. Vol 12 describes his return to Tangoa, plans for the Bible College, publications, student life, fieldwork, refresher courses, conferences, appointments, the Silver Jubilee of the Prebyterian Church of the New Hebrides and the 10th anniversary celebrations of the College in 1981. Source of title - Transcribed Dr Graham and Flora Miller, New Zealand Presbyterian missionaries in Vanuatu, were on Tongoa (Shepherd Group) 1941-194, before moving to Tangoa where Dr Miller was made Principal of the Tangoa Training Institute (TTI) 1947-1952. In 1971 he helped establish a Presbyterian Bible College on Vanuatu. As a member of the New Hebrides Synod he was involved with the indigenization of the Presbyterian Church in Vanuatu.
