Commercial artist. Born in England; educated at West Leeds High School. In 1946 commenced career as artist-designer in the printing and packaging trade. Arrived in New Zealand in Mar 1964, taking up position as a commercial artist with a leading firm of New Zealand printers in Wellington. Exhibited regularly at exhibitions of the NZ Academy of Fine Arts of which he was an artist member. Winner of the first Manawatu Contemporary Art Prize 1965.
