On the left is the Chief Post Office decorated with bunting, the Union Jack, the flag of St George, and the illumination `Auckland greets you'. The advertising sign above the Thames Hotel (in the middle distance) reads `Annette Kellerman - Strand'; `The Spanish Dancer' - Lyric; etc . Other identifiable signs include R & W Hellaby Ltd, Sandford Ltd; Tropical Planters Ltd; New Zealand Insurance Co Ltd. Photograph taken by William A Price 1924. Dated from Papers Past.
