Description: Black and white photographic print, photographed by the Exchange Court Studio. Inscribed on reverse of mount 'Manorburn Dredge. With view of fore front of dredge which has hardwood gantry (steel is used in many later dredges.'Shows the dredge and its buckets face-on to the photographer. The river in which it is operating is presumably the Manor Burn. The term 'Protected' is inscribed on the photograph. Quantity: 1 b&w original photographic print(s) mounted on card.

Description: Black and white photographic print, photographed by Exchange Court Studios. Wording on reverse of mount reads '"Moa" Dredge on the Clutha River. Fitted tailings elevator. The Moa dredge has proved to be a gold mine for the shareholders. Originally fitted with a 12" centrifugal pump for washing the wash dirt." The term 'Protected' is inscribed on the photograph. Moa (Gold dredge) was operating on the Clutha River in 1906. Designed by the consulting engineer E Roberts, the engine by R S Sparrow and Company, and built by Sutherland and Nelson.
