Description: Photographs of brass bands in Hawke's Bay and Canterbury, taken 1906-1913 by various photographers. The collection comprises: Unidentified brass band, photographed in November 1906 by A Henderson of Millers Road, Dannevirke. The Hastings Band, photographed in the Botanical Gardens, Napier, on Hospital Sunday, January 1910, by F W Young. The Hastings Band, photographed at a Catholic picnic in Farndon Park, Clive, on 15 March 1911, by W Golder of Waipawa. The 2nd South Canterbury Regimental Band, Timaru, winners of the A grade selections at Invercargill, 20 & 21 November 1913, and fourth in quickstep competition, photographed by McKeech of Thornbury, Southland.
