Description: An extensive view of an Italian landscape with a ruined castle at the water's edge of a curving bay. The view is framed by tall trees with peasants and goats in the foreground. Albin Martin first visited Italy in 1839 when he travelled to Rome to join Samuel Palmer and Hannah Linnell, who were honeymooning there.
