Description: Burial register from St Thomas' Church, in Newtown, Wellington. Part of the Anglican Church in Aotearoa New Zealand and Polynesia. Diocese of Wellington, Entries are numbered 1 to 1267. Register contains list of names, addresses, occupation, date of death, date of burial, age, and signature of the person performing the ceremony. St Thomas' Church was destroyed by fire on 21 August 1970 and the remains were demolished in 1971. It was not rebuilt. The church records were believed to have been destroyed at this time. Quantity: 1 volume(s). Provenance: Register was left anonymously at the Nelson Founders Book Fair collection depot. The Book Fair did not want the register for their sale so a volunteer (Mr Feltham) took possession of the volume and donated it to the Library.
