Description: Includes - Interior view of the Harvey Wallbanger Restaurant, Taupo, with Pinus radiata ceilings and walls, photographed by J Barran in 1988. Two photographs of dinning tables constructed from Pinus radiata wood. A De Havilland DH 89B Dominie small passenger aircraft with the registration ZK-AKU Tawaka. Tital supplied by the Library This particular De Havilland DH 89B Doninie aircraft was delivered to New Zealand in October 1943. It was assembled by no.1 Aircraft Depot, and used by the New Zealand military. It was sold to the New Zealand National Air Corporation (NAC) from no 42 Squadron on 30 August 1946 and registered ZK-AKU "Tawaka." It operated on the Northland service for NAC until it was withdrawn and sold in 1962. Quantity: 4 colour original transparency/ies. Provenance: Donated by Mr Anthony Haas, Wellington, 2007
