A news item line in Heath's handwriting, adhered to the cartoon, reads "Increasing numbers of dead kiwis are being handed in to the Wildlife Service - apparently caused by possum poisoning (small news item)". The cartoon is undated, but the New Zealand Wildlife Service operated between 1973 and 1987, when it became the Department of Conservation. Quantity: 1 original cartoon(s). Physical Description: Ink and felt-tipped pen on paper, 282 x 390 mm Provenance: Prior to donation, from the collection of Bruce Andrew Crawley, the donors' brother, who died in 2017. Crawley lived in New Zealand until the 1980s and was a keen member of NZ Forrest and Bird.
