Description: Leslie Brian Alexander (Pick) Fergusson born Rawene 1920. Gives family backgound and refers to connection with the Fergusson Governors General which hasn't been followed up. Memories recalled include: cream collection by launch; travel to Rawene by punt or launch, with reference to experience during flood; film shows run by Andrewes family, with reference to Cyril Kahi, projectionist; school at Rawene and later at Oue and shearing experience with brother on leaving school. Recalls hospital being built in 1926. Recalls being in Pacific during World War II and illness as a result. Describes work experience after the war and decision with brother to buy Bill Cochrane's milk supply business. Describes extent of milk run and mentions Frank Ingram and Andrewes. Mentions period spent in Dunedin working for Macintosh-Caley (chocolates), then at Christies engineering firm before returning to Rawene to work for Council and finally at hospital looking after heating and water heating until retirement.
